Hi Family and friends,
Tomorrow there will be a solar eclipse in this part of the country. Here in Carlsbad, we are in the area of the partial eclipse, but we will drive north, up towards Roswell where the full eclipse will be visible.
We will have the specialized glasses to view the eclipse safely, but don't have the equipment to take pictures. John has been trying to get a lens for his camera, but being in the middle of the desert, not a lot of photo shops!
I don't remember the last time we've seen a solar eclipse. The past two lunar eclipses have been blocked by clouds. Tomorrow is supposed to be clear, and the eclipse is during the evening, just before sunset. Should be interesting!
